Constrain To Origin Align
Overview
Constrain To Origin Align moves selected components to the assembly origin and positions them so their coordinate systems align. Each selected component is constrained to its parent assembly, ensuring precise alignment and overlay with the assembly coordinate system.
How It Works
- Select one or more components to align to the assembly origin.
- The command moves and rotates each selected component so its origin planes match the assembly origin planes.
- Constraints are applied to maintain the alignment.
Usage Instructions
- Open the assembly containing the components.
- Select the components to align to the origin.
- Click the Constrain To Origin Align button in the Configure panel.
- Review the alignment and constraints in the assembly.
Troubleshooting
- If components do not align as expected, verify that their origin planes are correctly defined.
- Check for existing constraints that may interfere with alignment.
- Ensure the correct components are selected.
Examples
- Align a bracket to the assembly origin: Select the bracket and use the command to overlay its coordinate system with the assembly origin.
- Align multiple supports to the origin: Select all supports, then run the command to align them to the assembly origin.
